Delusional Day One

Excuse this delusional post as I am sitting here trying to create a blog on about 2 hours of sleep and am a bit delusional. This whole entire post could make no sense but thats perfect! Today marked the first day of my Florence adventure! After a nightmare of a trip of delays, running through airports and lost baggage causing another 5 hour delay I finally made it to my Florence apartment! My roommates for the semester (Taylor Post and Olivia Paglialunga...and a missing Amanda Oswald) and I arrived at our apartment with more bags than we could handle. Little did we know that our apartment room would not only be impossible to find but impossible to open. After countless struggles of lugging 50 pound bags up and down 3 flights of stairs in search of our room we finally figured out which door was ours! It than took us another 10 minutes to figure out how to use the key to open the door! As we opened the door to our apartment we were amazed to see how nice it was! A two bed room, 4 bed apartment with a living room, kitchen and balcony. It was decorated and furnished with the supplies and furniture we need. After meeting with the landlord we roamed around the city look for food and anything and everything that caught our eyes. We soon realized that we were about the only people in the city who spoke English in the area convince stores. It wasn't long before we were heading back to the apartment with a bottle of red wine to meet up with our last roommate Amanda who had been stuck in the Paris airport for over 7 hours. It was then when we all met up over nutella, crackers, and some Italian red wine that we realized what an adventure we are all about to embark on! Every misfortune that had happened already in the first day had become a laugh and inspiration that good karma was now going to come our way! I'll end the day on that note and this post before I start typing more gibberish than I already have! I can barely keep my eyes open and theres no way I am rereading this so happy reading to all! Looks like I won't be doing any unpacking tonight...
